Project Stories:

“How a society treats its disabled is the true measure of a civilization” Chen Guangcheng

humedica Lanka continues to help and support many families affected by the Covid 19 shutdown. We reached out to a group of disabled people in Katana, Gampaha district – Western province, who desperately needed some help. humedica Lanka helped this same division during the bomb blast that took place last year.

On the 14th of April we responded to the request made by the divisional secretariat Katana to help 100 family members living with disabilities and special needs.

Our special thanks to Vihanga Fernando (developmental officer social service) and her team (disaster relief service worker and Grama niladaris) from the Divisional secretariat who did a great work in organizing this distribution and made sure that everything was done well. A group of 100 needy families from seven rural villages were chosen to receive these rations.

humedica Lanka will continue in its support for such families. Therefore, we urge you to please Join us - Support us in helping families like these to survive during this difficult period. Your help can save many lives from another disaster.

Come join us and make a difference.
